The place :
The region of Ilia is criss-crossed by roads, each one leading to something interesting: an ancient temple, a Byzantine monastery, a Frankish castle, a splendid mountain, an endless, sandy beach or equally to the unique Aldemar Olympian Village hotel and its spa.

Ilia is situated in the western part of the Peloponnese and is famous for its important archaeological findings, above all the site of Ancient Olympia.

Cradle of the Olympic Games, the region is bordered by kilometres of fine white sand blending with clear, azure waters.

The hotel has 431 rooms and 82 deluxe suites housed in the main building and in bungalow complexes and 49 apartments all housed in bungalow complexes.

Rooms come in swimming pool, garden or sea views.

In-room amenities : air-conditioning 24 hours/ day (mid-June to mid-September, minimum), double bed/ twin beds, sofa-bed, marble bathroom with bathtub, hair dryer, magnifying mirror, colour satellite television with music channels, direct dial telephone, internet access - DSL (upon request), refrigerator, safe, furnished balcony or veranda.

At your disposal at the Olympian Village: 37 outdoor swimming pools on the hotel grounds:

4 large pools, 2 children's pools (fresh water), 31 pools exclusively for sharing/ private pool bungalows, suites and apartments, sandy beach, 93 metres long, 10 tennis courts (Quick), basketball court, football field, volleyball court, beach volley facilities, table tennis, mini-golf course, work-out programmes with fitness instructors (aerobics, aquafit, gym work-outs), evening programmes and shows by the animation team, large-screen TV & video room, bridge room.

At extra charge: night tennis (4 floodlit courts), tennis lessons, water sports centre: canoeing, windsurfing, water skiing, pedal boats, sailing (catamaran), banana-rides, ringos.

Do not forget to visit the Ancient Olympia and its impressive series of monuments: ruins of buildings, sacred groves, temples and statues, and not to mention its archaeological museum. The museum hosts many exhibits of finds from the area such as stone heads, marble statues, terracotta pots and bronze figurines.

Very close to the ancient site lies the modern village of Olympia with its unique Olympic Games museum. Not far from Olympia are a number of other places also well worth a visit: beautifully preserved landscapes, ancient buildings such as the temple of Apollo, Epikourios; traditional settlements such as Lambia and traditional villages like Andritsena; well-known spas like Kaiafas with its life-giving natural springs, picturesque villages by the sea such as Skafidia, and towns built amid emerald green fields and valleys like Zacharo and Amaliada.
